Twitter is a universe unto itself. It has certainly conveyed the world of the Internet into a much smaller place. From California, one may as easily follow someone in Scotland as well as they can follow another in Australia or Belgium, or even Iran. The 140 character per tweet limitation is not a limitation at all. It causes a succinct paring of a thought. A short conversation. An exclamation of joy.
Or a shout out from Belgium via London to Minneapolis.
